Often universities or employers require proof of a certain language level. There are several ways to prove your level:
B2 exam for the workplace in Germany: The B2 level is the fourth level of German in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). With this certificate you prove your General German language competence at an advanced level. Many professional registration bodies and employers rely on B2 as evidence of German language proficiency.
A German level B2 would allow you to work in German in the workplace.
C1 exam for German universities: The C1 exam is suitable for entry to study at undergraduate or postgraduate levels, and also for professional registration purposes. If you are applying to a German university, you will most likely need a C1 certificate to prove that you have sufficient knowledge to attend university classes and to understand the textbooks and other study materials.
