We all have an image of our body in our mind. And it's fascinating, because we think that our mental self-image is always the same as the external image, that is how others see us. After surgery or because of therapy's side effects our body can change – however, what hasn’t changed (yet?) is that mental self-image. This often develops a body image disturbance with resultant negative impact on your health.
