Making Decisions

Making Decisions

Particularly in the suspicion phase, your client has to make decisions on many important things – mainly decisions that are impacting his/her own health and well-being. The outcome of any decision in that regard is rarely considered before the need actually arises, i.e. when we’re healthy and don’t have to think about whether we would want chemotherapy or not. And when the time comes after a formal diagnosis, we find ourselves bereft of time and opportunity to make such a decision properly.
But even before that, in the suspicion phase, fear can cloud our judgement and make it harder to think about the next step.

We have developed a simple but useful tool and roadmap for making important decisions.

This video introduces a tool that shows you how to make LEADERS out of your clients. Because LEADERS Look for Data & Facts, Evaluate Risks & Chances, Analyse, Decide, Effect the decision, Reflect & revise and then Sit back & relax.

Maybe this tool is also useful for you and will help you in making decisions important in your life.

Being LEADERS:

 Look for Data & Facts
 Evaluate Risks & Chances
 Analysis
 Decision
 Effect the decision
 Reflect & Revise
 Sit back & relax

Keep in mind, that as soon as there are new facts, the reflecting and revising step is very important. Decisions are never entirely fixed, and you and your client are allowed to make changes and alter that decision to suit individual circumstances and resulting needs. Circumstances change!

You might also notice whenever you are indecisive that your body reacts in a certain way. You might not be able to focus on anything and constantly think about what to do. Maybe you'll start to notice your stomach aching, all that worrying and not moving forward in a set direction... Our bodies display on the outside, what is going on inside.

That is why it is important for your body that clear and rational decisions are made. Maybe it is time for you, too, to start making such rational and reasoned decisions, leaving the vague and unhealthy state of “maybe” and “I don’t know” behind. Use this tool to strengthen yourself and your ability to choose and decide and set an example for your clients.

Try it out: Take a piece of paper and write down areas in your life where it could be worth making clear decisions. Think about health, finances, job, family, relationships, society, spirituality, leisure time, friends, etc. etc. Are there any open questions? Anything that needs a decision? Use the LEADERS tool to create a strong and decided life for you. And have fun doing it, whilst enjoying the benefits!

To make this exercise a little easier for you, use the Wheel of Life to see where you are in each area of your life. And then take one area that you think you would like to improve and start making decisions. They don’t have to be big, important ones. Maybe it is just the decision to start changing some things around or deciding on one activity/action that could bring you closer to your goal. But make a decision and be a LEADER(s).
